Why do wounds turn into scars?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

After the skin has been injured, a scab usually forms to protect the wound from further damage. At this time, fibroblasts will grow under the scab to form a scar and repair the wound as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

Under normal circumstances, the scars evolved from wounds are thicker and harder than normal skin, slightly red and swollen, and rarely cause other discomfort except affecting the appearance. As for the more serious scars, they can be divided into hypertrophic scars (Hypertrophic Scar) and keloid scars (Keloid):<\/p>\n

Hypertrophic scars:
\n<\/strong>Scar hyperplasia is formed within the wound area, and the skin is raised and thickened, and it is more common in joints or areas with high skin tension (such as chest, neck, back). Under normal circumstances, the growth rate is faster in the first 6 months, and the scar may decrease and shrink in the next 1 year.<\/p>\n

Celoid scars:<\/strong>
\nThis kind of scar can go beyond the wound and spread to the surrounding skin. It is shaped like a "crab's foot", so it is also called "keloid". Keloid scars are related to family inheritance and genes. Patients may feel pain or itching, and the scar volume may gradually increase over several years and will not disappear on its own.<\/p>\n

treatment method:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Under normal circumstances, if the scar has no other complications or sequelae after the doctor's examination, and does not affect the patient's life, it can be ignored; if the patient feels physical or psychological discomfort, it is hoped that:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Relieve itching, pain and other discomfort<\/li>\n
  • Minimizes scars and reduces restrictions on physical activity<\/li>\n
  • Improve psychological stress caused by appearance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Treatment may be considered in the following ways:
    \n<\/strong>
    \nSilicone patch:<\/strong>
    \nSuitable for the care of early scars, the silicone protective film can reduce skin moisture loss, soften the cuticle, and reduce scars. However, some people may be allergic to silicone patches, and it is difficult to predict or control the treatment effect.<\/p>\n

    Injectable steroids:<\/strong>
    \nInjecting steroids into the scar can inhibit the growth of fibrous tissue, relieve pain and soften the scar. Usually after several injections, the scar can be effectively flattened, but there is also a chance of recurrence.<\/p>\n

    Surgical treatment:<\/strong>
    \nUnder normal circumstances, surgery is rarely used to treat scars, because surgery will create new wounds on the skin, and the chance of scar recurrence is high. After surgery, steroid injections may be required to improve symptoms.<\/p>\n

    Laser Treatment:<\/strong>
    \nThe principle of laser treatment is to create dense and tiny point-like wounds on the skin, allowing the laser to penetrate and decompose the fibrous tissue of the scar, stimulating collagen regeneration to repair the wound.<\/p>\n

    Cryotherapy:<\/strong>
    \nCryotherapy is usually carried out under local anesthesia. The doctor will first insert the cryotherapy needle into the scar tissue, and use low temperature to make the scar cells dehydrate, necrosis, shrink and fall off.<\/p>\n

    • Cryoshape "Bing Ning Mei"<\/strong>
      \nBingningmei is a patented design, disposable intralesional cryotherapy probe, the efficacy and safety of which have been certified by the US FDA and the European Union CE. The design of this probe can ensure that the liquid nitrogen is completely vaporized during the freezing process, and the low-temperature nitrogen is taken away from the treatment site through the exhaust port to avoid frostbite the surrounding skin. The clinical results have confirmed that 97% patients who have received Cryoshape treatment feel that their scars have been significantly improved and the effect is long-lasting.
