Normally, the valves in the lining of the veins in the legs prevent blood from flowing backwards due to the force of gravity on the way to the heart. However, when the valve function of the superficial vein is weakened and cannot be closed, so that the blood backflows and accumulates in the lower extremity, the vein in this part will be compressed and cause the vessel wall to expand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the clinical symptoms, in the early stage of the patient's lower limbs, microfilament blood vessels in the form of spider webs will appear, or the veins will be raised in the shape of earthworms, which will affect the appearance. As the condition worsens, there may be problems such as pigmentation, itching, or venous ulcers in the legs. In severe cases, it will not heal. If tissue necrosis occurs in the lower limbs, amputation may be required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the early stage of the disease, patients can cooperate with the doctor's professional advice to wear medical compression stockings to help the venous blood of the lower limbs return from the soles of the feet to the heart and relieve the pressure on the lower limbs. If this method has been unable to delay the progression of the disease, surgical treatment can be performed according to the patient's condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The minimally invasive treatment developed in recent years is basically safe and highly effective. Unlike traditional surgical operations that leave scars, it only needs to insert a catheter through a small incision of about one centimeter, and use intravenous radiofrequency technology or laser to ablate the damaged blood vessels to close them. Walking is unimpeded after the operation, and the wound does not hinder the appearance. There are also sclerotherapy and new treatment "medical glue" for minor varicose veins, which also have fewer side effects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It should be noted that damaged venous valves cannot be restored. Therefore, regular exercise should be exercised to exercise calf muscles and control weight, which will help reduce the pressure on the legs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is recommended that people who need to stand or sit for a long time should occasionally walk or change positions during the period, and intermittently exercise the muscles of the lower limbs, such as lifting the heels.
