Starting from the implementation of the public healthcare fee reform on January 1, 2026, the Hospital Authority (HA) will set an annual cap of HK$10,000 for public healthcare services for eligible patients, without the need for financial review, in addition to the medical fee reduction mechanism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If a citizen has paid more than HKD10,000 in public medical fees during the public medical year (January 1 to December 31 each year), they can apply for a waiver of fees exceeding HKD10,000 through the Hospital Authority's mobile application "HA Go" or the hospital's payment counter. The assessment process after submitting the application generally takes 14 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  2. Proceed to "Payment"<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Go to "More"<\/li>\n\n\n\n

  5. If you have already paid more than HKD10,000, you can press the button to apply.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
